Happy New Year

Our New Year has come to a sad beginning. The kids had to come home from the Momma's early because their great-grandfather died. The funeral was yesterday and it was hard for everybody. Their great-grandmother is the hardest to see. They were married for 66 years and she has gottan so frail looking just over the last week. The kids are taking it hard but they'll be ok. On a lighter note, Connie and Duaine are here visiting and it's nice to see them after such a long time. I got them to wait until after Rosa, our wonderful housekeeper and friend, came and put our house back together. It didn't look bad until the kids came home and dumped 10 days worth of stuff in the floor. We were frantically trying to get ready for the funeral and get something to wear and they wanted to see everybody. The list goes on and on. Anyway they got to see the addition and what've done with the house. It's nice to show it to someone in person. I'm sure it gives a better idea than pictures that don't show the whole room at once. I'm very proud of my room and porch. Now if I would just finish it.
