The Way Up

Kelly was right, the only way the day could go was up. I took my Mom's pick up to Lubbock yesterday in search of rock for my flower beds and a basketball goal. We have been looking for an in ground basketball goal for a couple of week. Who knew that it would be so hard? I went back to Academy again in hope of a shipment. I finally asked someone and he really didn't think they had anymore because the distribution center was out. I asked if there was a way we could get on the list when they got some or if we could order one and he said "actually let me check in the back and see if they've had any come in because the trucks come on Sunday and I don't work that day". He came back and said they had one of the one we wanted in the back. Then came the stupid question "Do you want it?" No, I just spent all that time asking how to order one because I didn't want one. I loaded that sucker up and brought it home. I decided that the rock could wait for another day because I didn't think that a pallet of stone and a basketball would both fit. I've already talked Jon into taking me to get rock on Saturday after we drop the kids off at the airport. I can't believe that it's Spring Break already. The kids are going to see their Momma and Jon and I are going to Las Vegas AGAIN. It's just so easy to go and there are so many things to do there. We are taking my mother with us because she's never been. That means Jon can play craps while I show my mother the sights.
