Checking Papaw's Water

Ridge's new favorite thing to do is check Papaw's water. He's row watering behind the house and Ridge will stand on his stool (the Snoopy one that Uncle Elvis and Aunt Nancy gave me in 1978) and watch the water go down the rows out the window. When we're outside we have to go outside and look at it, taste it, touch it, walk beside it. I think that we might have a future farmer on our hands. We were outside one day when Papaw came by to check on it and Ridge ran over there as fast as his legs could go and checked it with him. Jon came out and helped. They were quite the crew. Now when Papaw pulls up Ridge takes off like a shot.
