The drama of having pets never ends. This morning when Jon and Reagan were leaving for school the little Guinea dog got clipped by the pick-up. This is never a good way to start the day....Reagan crying, the dog bleeding profusely and kids needing to get to school. Guinea seemed ok she was just bleeding around the nose and mouth area so everyone left for school and I brought her inside to clean her up. She wasn't crying or anything but she just kept bleeding and her breathing was labored. I finally woke my poor mother up and asked her to take the dog to the vet. I had a good reason for asking her to do it. I was supposed to be in Lubbock having an ultrasound in 2 hours, so I showed up at my mothers at 7:45am and woke her up with a bloody puppy. She rose to the occasion and didn't ask any questions. She just got dressed and drove the dog to the vet in Plainview. THANK YOU MOM! I spent most of the day bothering the vet and asking for updates. It turns out that she has no broken bones but her face is really swelled up and they're keeping her over night for observation. It's hard to breath when your face is swelled up. Yes, I know she's a dog but we love her. Reagan and I are going to pick her up after school tomorrow.
