Shuckin' Corn

One of my neighbors called this evening and asked if I wanted some corn out of their field. Nana was even nice enough to pick it for us. When I got home I got the kids to help me shuck it and put it in bags to freeze. The kids started out gung ho but kind of petered out in the end. It took forever and it was so hot. We went down to Nana's when we were done and helped finish up the little she had left to do. I kept a couple of grocery sacks full to give to my brother and the guy that works for us. We had to get it all done this evening because I didn't have anywhere to keep it until who knows when. I was afraid the dog would carry it all over my yard.
